Transaction Log
All transactions are kept in a Google Sheets document. The following columns are applicable:
- ID—the transaction identifier; this is automatically generated;
- The date of the transaction, in the following format:
day/month/year, e.g.,5/12/2019; - A category for the transaction;
- A transaction description—for all intents-and-purposes, this is a free-form description, and does not need to conform to any structure or convention (although some informal conventions may already have been established in existing data);
- A transaction amount in Australian dollars;
- A transaction account;
- Whether or not the transaction has an associated slip, (or in Australian parlance, a “receipt” or “copy”).
